Work during the COVID-19 Period – Class 4

Here you will find some suggested work for pupils in Class 4

Dear All

At school we have a Main Lesson table which has some seasonal flowers, a candle and a colour (different for each day: Monday – Purple / Tuesday – Red / Wednesday – Yellow / Thursday – Orange / Friday – Green). It might be a good idea to build something similar at home to help your child settle into their work. Also attached is our morning verse. We say this, with a lit candle everyday before working. Please feel free to use the verse and set up a table of your own with your child, if you think it might help.

For one part of it you will need to download an App called BirdNet from where ever you get your Apps. It is very simple to use. You record bird song on it and it analyses the sounds and tells you which birds are nearby. If you click on the Observation tab it will also generate a map of the area and pinpoint where the bird was. (It is a free app). Do not worry if you are unable to do this, you can just skip that bit of the lesson.
