Red Nose Day event raises £120!
Pupils, parents and staff celebrated Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day on Friday 13th March with a school-wide event which included music, a sketch and folk dancing! We had some amazing performances by pupils and their supportive staff dressed up of course with silly red noses! One pupil made his musical debut playing a 12 string guitar in a duet with Dean on lead vocals. This was a song by his favourite singer, Laura Marling. It was a flawless performance-well done and we look forward to more. Another amazing comedy performance was written, directed and performed by Joseph with his assistants Izzy and Rebekah. The sketch was called ‘Spinning Plates’ and had the audience spinning and reeling with laughter! It was not only very funny but cleverly crafted and a very polished performance-Hmm maybe a future ‘Comedy Roadshow? There were other musical contributions from the Woodland Class and from Dean and Jamie who led us in some Beatles numbers. Then the folk dancing began with gusto.
All these performances were videoed and we hope to publish on ‘You Tube’ in the near future.
Everybody present had such wonderful time and had the opportunity to visit the ‘Red Nose Café. Anna-Marie’s Bakery kindly supplied delicious cakes, juice and coffee.
Thank you all for this tremendous fundraising success and for such a lovely afternoon. We are delighted to have raised £120.38 for Comic Relief!
