Nature Trail

Earlier this year we decided to make a trail along the boundaries of our school grounds. The Woodland Class have taken on this project as part of their Main Lessons and their Eco School Lessons, and have now opened up approximately half of the trail. The trail includes some existing paths and has some new sections established too.

This section of the trail was once walked on by Henry VIII when he stayed at Thornbury Castle with Anne Boleyn around 1530!

Once fully completed, the trail will eventually loop all the way along the boundaries of our school estate and farmland…

We are still in the processing of deciding on a name for the trail. Suggestions so far include: ‘Badger Trail’, ‘Fox Trail’, ‘Woodpecker Trail’, ’Sheiling Trail’, ‘Woodland Trail’, ‘Hedgehog Trail’, ‘Butterfly Trail’ and ‘Nature Trail’.

Here are some beautiful exhibits of the art work of our pupils……….
