Another Enjoyable and Successful Summer Fair!

This year’s Summer Fair was a marvellous day, despite the weather not being to our advantage! After days of glorious sunshine we sadly had torrential rain on the eve of setting up the event. On the morning itself staff gathered to decide whether we should be indoors or outside. After collecting detailed weather reports and receiving an early morning soaking, it was decided that the only sensible decision was to move inside. Disappointingly it then remained dry until after the fair had ended! Better luck next year – it’s high time!

Regardless of the weather the Fair was well attended and our fundraising total takings towards new Sensory Equipment and other projects was £2315 – THANK YOU & WELL DONE EVEYONE!!!

We are grateful to the many members of staff who helped out on the day by setting up and running stalls. Our own stalls again showcased the beautiful work and artistry of our young people in the various crafts and arts in Woodwork, Weaving, Pottery and Cards as well as in the pupils’ Painting Exhibition. We are very grateful to all the Workshop Leaders and Stallholders and to our Music Therapist, Marcus Campbell, for organising a Drumming Workshop. Thanks also to Sarah Falber for her fabulous Silk Marbling and to Charlotte’s Tandems for their contribution.

Special thanks go to the ‘Wriggler Jigglers’ and to the ‘Wotton Silver Band’ who provided wonderful music to accompany the afternoon. We would love you to return for future events!

We also extend our huge thanks and appreciation to the following sponsors for their generous donation of prizes for our Raffle and Auction and for helping us to achieve this amazing result:
