As a registered charity we operate on a ‘not for profit’ basis. The fees charged to various local authorities only cover the direct costs of the education, care and therapy services we provide for that particular young person, with a small percentage built in for management and overheads.
The Sheiling School relies upon charitable donations to fund the vital development and improvement of our facilities and the purchasing of specialist equipment. We do not receive any government grants to assist with the costs of capital projects such as new buildings, refurbishments or vehicles.
If you’d like to support us there are many creative and enjoyable ways to help. You could hold a coffee morning, auction, cinema evening, jumble sale or quiz night. Perhaps you’d prefer to undertake a sponsored challenge? Or you can simply make a donation. Every single contribution helps – even the smallest amount raised really does make a difference! Your generosity can help in a very specific way – please click on the titles below to read about our current appeals and how to donate.
